Coordinating clauses

In english grammar, there are two types of clauses depending and independent Clauses. Depending clause depends as well as relates to the independent or main clause.

While independent Clauses relates to main or other independent Clauses but not depends upon.

Coordinating conjunctions like cumulative, adversative, alternative and illative Conjunctions are used to introduce the independent clause.

Independent clause is used to statement of equal value to form compound or mixed sentence.

Alternative coordinating conjunctions

“Either..or, neither…nor, otherwise, else, or” are types of alternative coordinating conjunctions. These Conjunctions make choice between two alternative statements.
